12 Hour Team Relay or Solo Race

Rucktoberfest is going to an entirely new format for 2018. This year’s race will be a 12 hour event for either solo runners or a relay for teams of four.

-Th9e20773d-c06c-43e9-860a-47ec31636eb1ere will be three loops totaling 10 miles. Runners (teams or solo runners) will rotate through each loop.

-Relay teams will have one runner on the course at a time. When that runner finishes his or her loop the next runner will start the next loop.

-Winners will be determined by the greatest distance completed in the twelve hour time frame, however, only completed loops will count. Any partial loop that is in progress at the 12-hour cutoff will not count. Note: If two runners or two teams have completed an equal mileage the tie breaker will go to whichever completed that distance in the least amount of time.

-There will be space for each team to setup their “team camp”. You can bring tents, small RVs, grills, etc. Whatever your team needs while doing a 12-hour relay (within reason).

-The course will be a mix of single track, farm roads, and fields with two road crossings on one of the loops. There will be no paved running sections.

-There will be no aid stations on the course and one full aid station at the start / finish line. With relatively short loops (3-4.5 miles) runners are expected to carry their own supplies.

-Team names, themes, or costumes are not required but are hilarious. Again, all things within reason.
